Ellen Pompeo came out of hiding for homeless charity Chrysalis last night. Excited to see co-star T.R. Knight, Pompeo embraced him and asked, “What happened to your blue hair?” “It was red,” corrected Knight, who recently dyed his hair.
“He’s so fun, such a crazy personality,” said Pompeo. With Ellen, Katherine Heigl and now Kate Walsh all engaged, might they have a triple ceremony?
“No!” said Pompeo. “There will not be a Big Three anything. My wedding will be very small.”

Grey’s Anatomy’s leading lady Ellen Pompeo, looking lovely in white, is pictured above at the 2007 ABC UpFront party held in New York City a couple of days ago. According to a source who also attended the party, Pompeo said, after having had a few drinks, that there is definitely still tension on set and that she thinks either Isaiah or T.R. might leave the show because of it. George better not leave!

Raking over details of Ellen Pompeo’s private life looms as a less than enviable task.
When she arrives for this interview during a break from filming medical drama Grey’s Anatomy, Pompeo has the demeanour of someone who’d rather be in a dentist’s chair than subjecting herself to questions about life in front of and away from the camera.
It becomes apparent Pompeo, who plays angst-ridden intern and Dr McDreamy’s (Patrick Dempsey) forbidden squeeze, Meredith Grey, is struggling to recover from the previous day’s shooting schedule.
She and Dempsey were on set until after midnight.
It can also be draining, Pompeo says with a yawn, wading through scripts on a drama that specialises in fracturing, mending, then fracturing again the romantic lives of its key characters. “The good thing about the show, I will say, is that we’re supposed to look and be tired because we’re playing interns,” Pompeo says, revealing a tension-breaking smile.
“Sometimes I look in the mirror and think, ‘Oh, God’. Your eyes are the first things that go when you’re that tired. So, as a girl, I feel a little like I maybe don’t look so great all the time.”
It seems Pompeo, like so many of her Hollywood contemporaries, is deeply concerned about body image.

There is more drama on the set of Grey’s Anatomy. Sources say most of the cast are upset by the news that a spinoff series is in the works that would follow Kate Walsh’s character, Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd. “The rest of the cast seemed instantly resentful of [Walsh],” says an insider. “They each thought they’d be the one chosen to get their own show, and now they’re giving Kate the cold shoulder.”
Lead actress Ellen Pompeo “seemed particularly peeved because she felt that, as the star, she should have been consulted,” adds the source. People mag is reporting that Katherine Heigl has now dropped out of contract talks with show producers over salary issues. “Katie is disappointed and hurt that [producer] Touchstone doesn’t value her as much as her other co-stars, especially Sandra Oh and Isaiah Washington,” an insider told the mag. A rep for ABC Touchstone had no comment.

New father of twins Patrick Dempsey is “a good dad,” his Grey’s Anatomy co-star Ellen Pompeo tells People magazine.
“I think the thing about Patrick is, obviously he has a tremendous love for his wife and his daughter, but he has a tremendous sense of duty,” Pompeo, 37, says.
“He’s really sort of old-fashioned in that way – he’s got a good sense of being a gentleman and taking care of his family, and that’s what makes him a good dad. It’s an admirable quality.”
Dempsey and wife Jillian welcomed sons Darby Galen and Sullivan Patrick in Los Angeles on Thursday. (Galen is Dempsey’s middle name.) The couple, who have been married for seven years, also have a 4-year-old daughter, Talula.
In January, the 41-year-old actor told Life magazine of fatherhood: “Now, making money is about providing for my children. And being a father makes you look at yourself. You look at your marriage and go, ‘How do I improve this? How do I keep growing and create a stable environment for my children?’ ”
