Great news today for Grey’s Anatomy fans (and for the cast themselves of course). The Golden Globe nominations were revealed today and it is looking good for Grey’s Anatomy. The show snatched up a nomination for Best Drama Series, Ellen Pompeo for best actress in a drama series, Patrick Dempsey for best actor in a drama series, and the lovely Katherine Heigl for best supporting actress in a drama series.

A newly engaged Katherine Heigl (to musician boyfriend Josh Kelley), is having a ball during her shopping trip Saturday along Los Angeles’s Ventura Boulevard.

Ellen Pompeo doesn’t quite have her eyes on the ball as she and fiancé Chris Ivery take in the Los Angeles Lakers 106-99 win over the San Antonio Spurs at the Staples Center on Sunday, where Eva Longoria was also on hand rooting on her guy, Spurs point guard Tony Parker.

Patrick Dempsey, currently best known for appearing in Grey’s Anatomy, has snagged a deal to star in Sony’s new rom com Made Of Honour.

It features a bloke (Dempsey) asked by his dream woman to be his maid of honour. He accepts the job hoping to prove his love to her before she heads down the aisle.

The script’s based on a spec treatment penned by Adam Sztkiel, though it’s since been through the re-write factory at the hands of Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont, who last brought us Surviving Christmas. Now there’s a reason to celebrate if ever we heard one.

Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo trades in her scrubs for casual chic at the opening of the Billy Wilder Theater at the Hammer Museum in Westwood, Calif., on Sunday. The actress recently got engaged to beau of three years, music producer Chris Ivery, who accompanied her to the event.
