Sandra Oh is officially single: The Grey’s Anatomy star’s marriage to Sideways writer-director Alexander Payne was terminated on Dec. 22, and they are now free to marry other people.
However, their divorce is not finalized, and they still have to settle financial issues, according to legal documents obtained by PEOPLE.
In March 2005, a spokeswoman confirmed to PEOPLE that Oh, 35, and Payne, 45, had “mutually decided to separate.” Added the rep: “They have been together for five years and were married in (January) 2003. The couple will remain friends.”
Oh filed for divorce the following April in Los Angeles Superior Court. According to her filing, she was seeking spousal support.
This was the first marriage for both. They have no children.
